Sahar Nahavandinezhad (b. 1991, Iran) received her BA in graphic design. Her career consists of studying the visual and expressive capabilities of drawing. The artist often uses pencils in her study of birth and death; using the simplest drawing tools for exploring one of the deepest human experiences. In Nahavandi's drawings, the fetal position of figures who are confined in a dark and cramped space and have traces of wounds on their body speaks of the journey they have been on, from the womb to the tomb.
