Bahareh Khezri (b. 1987, Iran) received her B.A and M.A in Illustration from Tarbiat Modares University in Tehran. Besides having several group exhibitions in Iran, she won several international prizes, including The Best Young Artist's Award from La Cité internationale de la bande dessinée et de l'image. Experiencing a car crash in childhood was her inspiration for the "We Lived the Roads" series. In this series, road trips become a metaphor for life and living, and we view the joys and sorrows of life in Khezri's grey, multilayered works as distant memories.
