Nima Sayadian (b. 1990, Iran) holds an MA in painting. Sayadian has had several solo and group exhibitions and was among the finalists in Tirgan (Toronto) and Fajr (Tehran) Festivals. In the "Beekeepers" series, the artist depicts people in some protective bee suits normally worn by beekeepers, in grey and horrendous landscapes. It appears that Sayadian is showing us a world that was hit by atomic bombs. A world where all the natural elements either turned to ash or altered in some way; plants are grotesque and rough with no signs of their former vigor or tenderness. The sky is either bloody or grey, signaling death and annihilation. And humans are wondering this world like gypsies searching for the last signs of life while wearing all white.
