Katie Grinnan (1970) is an American visual artist based in Los Angeles. She received her BFA from Carnegie Mellon University and her MFA from University of California, Los Angeles. She also attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture and studied at the Studio Arts Center International in Florence, Italy. Grinnan has had shows at the Whitney Museum in New York, MOCA and Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, and Modern Art Oxford in the UK. She is the recipient of the City of Los Angeles Individual Artist Fellowship in 2019, an AXA Artist Award in 2007, a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Fellowship and a Pollock-Krasner grant in 2006 among others. Her work appears in public collections including Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, and Virginia Museum of Fine Art in Richmond.
