The body and image of figures allude to certain meanings and concepts, yet this is not all. The body, regardless of all the notions and metaphors, is significant in and out of itself. The body, its components, and its building tissues; this way of looking at that the redness of blood over the limbs, the torn out flesh of the face, and the contracted muscles, which often – beyond any meaning or symbolism – focus on the form, are to some extent reminiscent of some of the works by Francis Bacon; to view the body in its pure corporeal aspect.
