In twenty or thirty years’ time, what will be the nostalgias of the generation that is growing up in front the teacher’s eyes today? What image of the school, of the objects they carry around in their school bags, of their teacher, of the school ambiance and architecture will be engraved in their minds? Moslem Khezri’s drawings are contemplations on time, on its transience. And most importantly these works depict the interplay of different times. By blurring the classroom image, hatching the figures, the interlocking looks, Moslem Khezri has turned his objects into the subjects of memories in the future, as if the painter is depicting the students’ present time the way it will become a memory in their future; in other words, this work can be an image of the present moment like a memory in the future.
