The experience of malaise is not necessarily an experience of physical fatigue, nor does it necessarily indicate depression or psychological anorexia. Malaise is not necessarily a psychological condition either. Malaise is one of the fundamental conditions of human existence in the world. The existential relationship between human beings and the world sometimes goes through anxiety, trance and existential intensities, and sometimes through a seemingly shallow but actually profound condition, and that is the exasperating experience of being in the world. One of the main themes of Moslem Khezri’s series, including the present drawing, is the depiction of malaise through gray figures under the focused daylight.
