Parisa Majidy of PARISA Projects, has assembled an exhibit of emerging Middle Eastern art. Entitled Prelude to Resonance it runs from now until March 15.
Divided into thematic weeks, the exhibition unfolds as a journey through distinct artistic dialogues:
● Week One: Whispers of Heritage - Honoring Persian artistic traditions through reimagined miniatures and floral compositions.
● Week Two: Echoes of Her - Exploring femininity, resilience, and identity through bold, contemporary works.
● Week Three: The Silent Vanguard - Addressing themes of societal introspection and abstract expressionism.
● Week Four: Pulse of the Earth - Examining the intersection of nature and humanity through environmental themes.
According to a write-up for the exhibit: "Contemporary Iranian artists are reshaping global conversations about culture, identity, and resilience. Prelude to Resonance, curated by Parisa Majidy of PARISA Projects, presents a compelling exploration of modern Persian artistic expression. Featuring a rotating selection of works, the exhibition introduces emerging Iranian artists to U.S. audiences."
I interviewed Parisa Majidy about her exhibit, which came about two years ago when she approached CCAE CEO Gina Lopez. "It takes time for them to plan the events. Especially a high level one such as this," she said.
